@Guillermina: Thanks Guillermina...a question for you please...would you recommend a favorite cd of Ian's and Joy Division for me...I've been watching some youtube video work but I'd like to buy a cd or two or three...any suggestions?...thanks...
You didn't lost control with this one ;-)! Nice photo. How did you did it?

@elrubns: Hi elrubns...well, this image like some of the others are photos off the tv...many don't work because of frequency problems but a handful do...in photoshop i play with noise, median, contrast and lightness, curves, photo filter...each image is different in how they need to be treated...depends what i'm after and how good or bad the initial image is...like with this image i really created a very flat near graphic between USM work and lightness/contrast, and finally the photo filter and applying color...sorry to be vague here...
i think i'm going to have to start documenting my work so i can retrace some of my steps...because i'm not interested in final picture quality like sharpness i've taken the freedom to hit the image several times with different filters and effects until i get what i want...
Well, I'd personally go for 'Unknown Pleasures', 'Closer' and 'Still' (try and find the 2007 Collector's Edition if you can), in that order (as they were released). But you have many compilations and live sets if you'd rather have sort of a quicker overview. In that case, I recommend 'Substance 1977-80' and 'Les Bains Douches 18 December 1979'.
Hope I helped instead of discouraging you! (I thought you liked them already, therefore my insistence...)

@Guillermina: Hi Guillermina...thanks for all the suggestions, big help, not discouraging...and I do like all the video clips i'm seeing and hearing but wanted to finally buy some cd's...
Thanks a lot for the explanation, really interesting your way of working, and it seems to be very hard! Concerning my comment, and after seeing you are not a "fan" of Joy Division, when I said you that you didn't loose control with the photo it was a silly joke because one of the songs of Joy Division is "She's Lost Control": http://es.youtube.com/watch?v=QVc29bYIvCM (in case you don't knwo it!) Really agree with Guillermina, Unknown pleasures, Closer and Still. But do not forget the song "Love Will Tear Us Apart" (I think you can find it in Substance compilation) Un saludo
